Established 2024 on Main Street in north Winnipeg.

Born and raised Canadian, the owner Vellan Vadivelu built this local business on the foundation of fresh, locally sourced ingredients and a lifelong passion for great food. While most traditional smash burger joints stick to a no-customization rule, we believe differently: our guests are free to enjoy their food exactly how they like it.

What is a smash burger? +

A smash burger is made by pressing a ball of ground beef onto a hot griddle, creating a crispy, caramelized crust through a process called the Maillard reaction. At Woodbine Burgers, fresh, locally sourced beef is smashed on the griddle for that crisp, caramelized crust.

Yes. While most traditional smash burger joints stick to a no-customization rule, we believe differently: our guests are free to enjoy their food exactly how they like it. Build your burger your way when you order.
